How The Office Characters Would Handle COVID-19

How do you think Michael Scott, Dwight Schrute and Jim Halpert would handle quarantine?

I’ve been practicing social distancing since March 13th (Friday the 13th) and when I’m not working remotely, I’ve been rewatching one of my favorite shows, “The Office.” You don’t need me to tell you that “The Office” is one of the greatest sitcoms of all time, as the fanbase, memes and on going jokes speak for themselves. The show is timeless and will be enjoyed for decades to come, with many wishing their workplace could be half as entertaining. But, as I was hunkering down midway through the fifth season, a thought popped into my head—How would these characters fair if they were tasked with performing social distancing?

Michael Scott

If you’re wondering who the hell is buying all the toilet paper, it’s Michael Scott. There’s no reason why he needs this much toilet paper, other than maybe Dwight told him to stock up. He struggles to get any work done while at home and requests Zoom meetings with Pam every 10 minutes.

Dwight has been preparing for this his entire life. He has an entire arsenal of supplies and has been practicing hand desanitizing for years to strengthen his immune system.

Like when Jim worked in Stamford, he’s finding plenty of ways to prank Dwight from a distance.

Pam is taking this time to focus on her art and her children—but she still picks up every time Michael calls.

Andy saw celebrities throwing concerts on Instagram and decided to join in on the fun, getting back together with his old acapella group for a tribute song.

By this point, Stanley is retired and living in that decommissioned lighthouse he’s always dreamed of—mastering social distancing years before it was necessary.

Angela is spending all of her time with her cats and has turned her nanny cam into a 24 hours live stream that gets millions of views every month.

Creed goes off the grid, taking this time to do whatever Creed does when no one is looking.
