“Space Force” premiered on Netflix in May and featured performances by Steve Carrell, John Malkovich, Ben Schwartz, Diana Silvers, Lisa Kudrow and Tawny Newsome. The show follows the story of the establishment of the sixth branch of The United States Armed Forces, the United States Space Force and is a workplace comedy like no other.
“Parasite”
“Parasite” cleaned house at the 92nd annual Academy Awards, snagging Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay and Best International Feature Film. Many critics regard it as the best film of 2019, if not all of the 2020s, becoming the 42nd highest rated film of all time according to Metacritic.
“Cheer”
On January 8th, the documentary series “Cheer” hit Netflix and millions worldwide tuned in. Many were inspired by the impressive storytelling in the film, which showed the trials and tribulations of cheerleaders at Navarro Community College in Corsicana, Texas. Several of the cast members have gone on to social media fame following the show and there’s been an outcry for a second season.

Because of the pandemic, rapper 6ix9ine was released early from prison and immediately jumped back into music. His first single of 2020 “Gooba” debuted at number three on the U.S. charts and the music video became the biggest debut of a hip-hop song on YouTube since Eminem’s “Killshot” in 2018. 6ix9ine then went on to release his third single with rapper Nicki Minaj, “Trollz,” which debuted at number one and he’s set to release his second album this month.
