If there’s one thing we know about our readers, it’s their love for swear words. While people say it’s not ladylike to cuss, we simply don’t give a damn. But have you ever wondered how your favorite four letter words come to be? Well, it appears that Netflix has the answer and more.
On January 5th, the streaming service is dropping “The History of Swear Words,” an in-depth look at the history and cultural impact of some of our favorite cuss words. Best of all, it’s hosted by Hollywood’s own Nicholas Cage.
“The History of Swear Words” is premiering with six episodes, each detailing a specific cuss word: “f*ck,” “sh*t,” “b*tch,” “d*ck,” “p*ssy,” and “d*mn.” Each episode is 20 minutes long and will be accompanied by Cage interviewing a plethora of celebrity guests, including Nikki Glaser, Nick Offerman, Sarah Silverman and Jim Jefferies. In addition to these famous funny people, linguists, cognitive scientists and lexicographers will also add their two cents to each cuss.
