What is Scorpio?
Scorpio is the eighth sign in the zodiac and Scorpios have birthdays between October 23rd and November 21st. The name originates from its constellation and it’s represented by the scorpion. Scorpio is the fixed water sign and it’s ruled by Mars, as well as Pluto.
If your Sun is in Scorpio, you’re a someone with a lot of intensity. You’re motivated by your desires and have a lot of passion, which is frequently tied to sex. You’re also naturally very curious and will go through many transformations throughout your lifetime.
If your Moon is in Scorpio, you have a distinctive air of mystery. You’re exceptionally sensitive, like other water signs, but express those feelings with ferocity. You desire intimacy and are drawn to deep companionship.
If your Rising is in Scorpio, you have a dark allure about you. You often come off as intimidating or even standoff-ish, but that’s because you have a quiet and mysterious aura. There’s also a lot going on under the surface and you are often described as being complex.
Scorpios are most compatible with their fellow water signs Cancer and Pisces. You can also connect well with grounded Earth signs Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn. You’re typically least compatible with air signs Gemini, Libra and Aquarius.
Scorpios will often find success in careers that spark their curiosity, such as research, academics or psychology. You also have a love for all things dark, making you a fit for mortuary sciences, forensics and the occult.
